LS poll date likely on March 5

SHILLONG: The dates for 2104 general elections is likely to be announced next week.Indicating this here on Saturday, Chief Electoral Officer P Naik said the announcement is likely to be made before March 5. Election Commission sources on Friday hinted that Lok Sabha election 2014 will be held in 5 to 7 phases. The term of the current Lok Sabha expires on 1 June and the new House has to be constituted by May 31.
