SHILLONG: Residents of Amerim village apprehended and assaulted one suspected dacoit Kelwin G. Momin at New Amerim village (NGH) on Sunday evening. However, the dacoit succumbed to his injuries.
In another incident, , one unidentified male dead body apparently Garo (suspected to be dacoit) was recovered from Lower Rongmatchu village (NGH) on Sunday. It is learnt that the deceased was apprehended and assaulted by the residents of Rongmatchu and neighbouring village.
