SHILLONG: Issues relating to measures for effective check on trans-border criminals to ensure security of border population were discussed in length at the informal meetings held between the delegation of BGB and Indian delegates on the second day of the BSF-BGB conference here in Shillong.

The major issues were deliberated upon with facts and it was amicably decided to intensify simultaneous coordinated patrolling in already identified vulnerable and sensitive areas, prone to criminal activities.
