SHILLONG: Opposition leader Dr Donkupar Roy has criticised Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma for not being accommodative to the suggestion of the MLAs.

“I had personally submitted a proposal with a request to earmark funds for some developmental projects in his constituency through the Special Plan Assistance (SPA). But I never received any response from the Chief Minister,” Dr Roy who is also the UDP legislator said while speaking during the discussion on the Governor Address here on Monday.

He said that all Chief Minister’s in the past would at least reply that the matter would be looked into.

The Opposition Leader said that the attitude of Dr Sangma was uncalled for since the request he had made was not regarding any personal matter. “It is for the development of his constituency,” Dr Roy said.

“There are many Congress supporters in the constituency,” the UDP legislator said while adding that he felt upset when he saw that proposals submitted by him were never considered.
