SHILLONG: A fire which broke out at Barapathar locality here damaged several houses in the wee hours on Tuesday. According to eye witnesses, there were blasts of cylinders following the fire which lasted for several hours. The fire which started at around 1.15 am spread to several houses causing major damages. The residents are annoyed over Fire tenders arriving late after they were informed about the incident in time.
