Former Arunachal minister passes away

Itanagar: Former Arunachal Pradesh Minister T C Teli passed away at his residence here following prolonged illness. He was 50 and is survived by two wives, four sons and five daughters. Teli, who was suffering from liver cancer and undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon, was brought back to Itanagar on Thursday and died Friday night. Born on Feb 13 1964, Teli was first elected to state assembly in 1995 on Janata Dal ticket and became the leader of opposition.

Later he switched allegiance to Congress became minister under Chief Ministers Gegong Apang and Mukut Mithi. Teli represented Doimukh assembly constituency. Chief Minister Nabam Tuki expressed shock and grief over the untimely death of Teli. (PTI)
