Misappropriation

lMd. Josimuddin Ahmed lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that one Rehmat Au Dhanani and Md. Imtiyaz had misappropriated Rs. 40 lakhs and Rs. 2,50,000 respectively, since April 2009 to April 2013 and also threatened him with dire consequences.

lDevendra Singhania lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that in the month of November 2013, he placed an order for one Aflon Treadmill from Chandra Shekhar with an advance of Rs. 20,000. However, till date he did not receive the Treadmill.

Theft

lOn March 14 in between 10:30 am and 12 noon, unknown miscreants broke into the house of Pranaballap Paul at Risa Colony, Shillong and stole a VIP suitcase and some clothes.

lOn March 12, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-04A-1124) belonging to Labansing Marak from Nengsa Apal (NGH).

lOn March 12 night, one Kes Shadap and his accomplices stole two heads of cattle from Barsik Umtngam village (RB). Police arrested the accused persons.

lOn March 12 at about 3 pm, unknown miscreants stole fifteen cell phones and other electronic items valued around Rs. 60,000 from the shop of Hamail Sohshang at New Nongstoin (WKH).

lOn March 12 around 2 am, unknown miscreants stole two jackets, one cell-phone and two hard discs belonging to Mary Grace Shylla from her residence at Laitumkhrah, Shillong.

lOn March 11 night, unknown miscreants stole one Bolero pick-up vehicle (ML-08C-8216) belonging to Abdul Kalam from Solartek, Nagaband village (WGH).

lOn March 11, unknown miscreants broke into Phulbari Upper Primary School and stole fifteen batteries of solar plates valued around Rs. 2,40,000.

Arrest

On March 12 at about 11:30 am, unknown miscreants stole a car tape, jacket, LCD and cash Rs. 600 from a Maruti car belonging to Banraplang Kharmyndai at Wahthapbru, Shillong. In this connection, Police arrested Wilborn Lyngdoh (20) and Wanbok L. Nongbri (22)

Trespassing

On March 13 at about 9 am, Krida Mukhim, Krik Nongrum and eleven others trespassed in the forest land of Arwin Nongrum at Bamkamar village (WJH), cut down the standing pine trees valued around Rs. 2 lakhs and took them away in one Mahindra pick-up. They also threatened him with dire consequences.

Threat case

Darland Marngar (61) lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that on February 2 and March 9, 2014, one Kreny Marngar came to his residence at Umlipol village (WKH), threatened him with dire consequences and to burn his house.

Accident

On March 13 around 8:59 pm, a vehicle knocked down Rang Kumar Rai (63) at Shangbangla, GS Road (RB). Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Nongpoh, where he succumbed to his injuries.
