Pala properties in lakhs and crores

SHILLONG: Sitting MP and Congress candidate from Shillong seat Vincent Pala is by far the richest among the candidates contesting in the Shillong seat in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Vincent Pala has Rs 10 lakh cash in hand while his spouse Dimorine Tariang has Rs 5 lakh cash in hand. Besides, he also owns a gold plated wrist watch worth Rs 12 lakh and gold plated ring worth Rs 30,000, according to his asset declaration by affidavit.

His spouse also has jewelleries weighing 16 tolas worth Rs 5,76,000.

Pala also owns a 0.38 revolver worth Rs 350,000 and a DBBL gun worth Rs 20,000. Even his spouse owns a 0.32 revolver worth Rs 25,000.

The total gross value of his movable asset is Rs 45,708,879 while the value of his spouse is Rs 3,349,806. In addition, the total gross value of assets of his three dependents are Rs 1,450,857, Rs 775,351 and Rs 273,165 respectively.

The current market value of his immovable assets including cost of property and residential buildings is Rs 332,600,000 while market value of immovable assets of his spouse is Rs 112,950,000.

Pala has 25 bank accounts and one bank account for election expenditure while his spouse has seven bank accounts. Pala also has a SBI general insurance worth Rs 2 lakh. He owns seven vehicles.

The sitting Congress MP also owns non-agricultural land in nine locations including one in Kamrup district of Assam and the approximate current market value of his 5238.53 sq metre land at Keating Road is a whopping Rs 11 crore.

The approximate current market value his land at Kamrup district of Assam is Rs 8 lakh, his 5808 sq metre land at Shallang has a market value of Rs 15 lakh.

He also owns a 52000 sq feet land at Nongrim Hills whose market value is Rs 14.5 crore and then his land at Baridua, Ri Bhoi has a market value of Rs 15 lakh.

Apart from that, he also owns a 135 acres land at Rymbai whose market value is Rs 13 lakh and he also has 133,333 sq feet land at Pynthorumkhrah which has a market value of Rs 3 crore.

He has got one more plot of land at Maheskhola, Nongstoin and one at Sutnga Elaka whose market values are Rs 1.25 crore and Rs 1 crore respectively.

His spouse owns land in eight locations in the state. She also owns a land at Lachumiere that has a market value of Rs 5 crore.

She also owns another property at Nongstoin which has a market value of Rs 45 lakh, besides one more property in her name is located at Mawlai Mawiong Rim market value of which is Rs 45 lakh.

She owns a land at Byrnithat whose value is Rs 45 lakh and two plots at Mookyrdup which have market values of Rs 20 lakh and Rs 4.5 lakh. Besides, she also owns a piece of land at Umpling which has a market value of Rs 80 lakh and one at Jowai which has a market value of Rs 1.05 crore.

Talking about his bank accounts, Pala has Rs 25,777 in his Bank Of Baroda account while he has Rs 3,06,148 in his Canara Bank account.

He also has Rs 6,50,759 in his Vijaya Bank, Latiumkhrah branch account.

He has Rs 4,81,024, Rs 1,61,107, Rs 25,080, Rs 21,493, Rs 6,849, Rs 7,89,010 in his SBI accounts that have been kept in different branches of the bank.

He also has Rs 47,761 in his Federal Bank account while he has Rs 2,28,558 in his ICICI Bank Guwahati branch apart from Rs 1,23,093 in his Axis Bank Account, Shillong branch.

In his Standard Chartered Bank , Guwahati Branch account he has 33,761 while he has Rs 11,16,237 at HDFC Bank, Shillong branch.

In his Citi Bank, New Delhi Branch, Pala has Rs 2,52,835 while Rs 8,78,775 in his SBI , Parliament branch account .

In addition, he has Rs 4,28,437 in his HSBC Bank, New Delhi branch.

In his HDFC Bank accounts of New Delhi, Khliehriat, he has Rs 2,57,902, Rs 1,89,039 and Rs 66,708 and at the moment he also has Rs 70,00,000 in his HDFC Bank account in Shillong which is for election expenditure.

Vincent Pala also has Rs 23,094,648 in his HDFC Bank, Shillong branch fixed deposit, in addition to Rs 300,000 in HDFC Infrastructure Fund, Shillong branch.

He has another fixed deposit in HDFC Bank, Shillong branch where he has deposited Rs 839,598.

He also deposited Rs 133,023 in ICICI Bank Guwahati branch and he also has Rs 50,000 in HSBC, New Delhi besides Rs 1,171,219 in the same bank.
