GSU members meet CM

SHILLONG: The GSU, Kharkutta Regional Unit, met Chief Minister Dr. Mukul Sangma, during his visit to Baghabatta, Kharkutta, North Garo Hills on March 26 regarding the various hardships faced by the people of Greater Kharkutta region and other developmental issues.

The GSU also submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister

According to GSU leader, Bilseng B Sangma, who is the president of GSU, Kharkutta Regional Unit, the Chief Minister promised to look into the matter as soon as possible and to take remedial measures to upgrade the present condition of the area.

The issues highlighted by GSU include upgradation of Kharkutta Public Health Centre to Community Health Centre, setting up of secondary schools, lack of communication and installation of mobile towers, setting up of power substation at Kharkutta and lack of repair works under PHE department.
