Theft

On March 26, unknown miscreants stole one AC compressor and a stabilizer valued around Rs. 1,20,000 belonging to M/s Gil Infrastructure Ltd., from Mukhla village (WJH).

lManbha Shylla, JE, PHE lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on March 25 around 4.30 am, Sman and Ridon Wareh stole two numbers of 80mm GI Pipes from Nartiang WSS.

lOn March 25, unknown miscreants stole a mobile phone belonging to Zaheen Gafoor from his residence near Civil Hospital Shillong.

lOn March 24 around 2.15 pm, one labourer Md. Mulute Ahmed stole Rs. 3,20,000 belonging to Md. Hussain Begum Khan from his coal quarry office at Khliehriat (EJH).

Arrest

On the night of March 26, Police arrested Nikman Ch. Marak, chairman, GHSMC and Balkarin N. Marak, GS, TGCSU in connection with an incident on June 21, 2013 near Civil Hospital Tura, where a mob burnt down a Tata Winger vehicle requisitioned by Police.

lPolice arrested one Rashan Jani Haque who was involved in posting of inappropriate content on the Facebook profile of an unidentified complainant.

Kidnap

Anjana Sharma lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on Feb. 4, 2014 her 16-year-old daughter was found missing from her residence at Barapathar Shillong. She suspects that one Kundan Sharma had kidnapped her.
