Taxi stand
The Meghalaya Tourist Transporters Association has started a tourist taxi stand opposite to Anjalee Cinema Hall for passengers travelling from Shillong to Jowai and a parking stand has also been started at the parking lot adjacent to MTC Office, Jowai for passengers travelling from Jowai to Shillong and Jowai to Guwahati.
Institute week
The Indian Institute of Professional Studies is celebrating its institute week 2014 with one week log programme starting from March 22. The grand finale will be held on March 29 at Anton Hall, Laitumkhrah at 12 noon.
Bike rally
As a part of the SVEEP, the District Election officer, South West Khasi Hills will organise a bike rally from DC Office complex to market place on March 29 at 3:30 pm and other competitions will also be organised.
