Invitational footy results

SHILLONG: Phlang Mawsyrpat Lade FC and Upper Lumparing Haphi Latei FC both qualified for the quartefinal round of the 1st Meghalaya Invitation Local Football Tournament, organised by the Pay For Right Youth and Cultural Club, at Malki Ground on Friday.
Phlang Mawsyrpat ended regulation time in their match against Wahkaji Students 1-1, but came through via a penalty shoot-out 5-4.
In the later match, Upper Lumparing defeated Wahingdoh Toppers XI by three goals to two.
The two winners from Friday will meet in a last-eight fixture on April 1 at 3:00pm.
