Rape cases

On March 28, one Deep Biswas (21) raped one six-year-old girl at Lumshyiap Nongmynsong, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.

Ratsingstar Ramsiej lodged a complaint at Mawkyrwat PS that on March 27 around 8 pm, one unidentified person raped a minor girl aged 4 years at Mawkyrwat market (SWKH).

Immigrants apprehended

On March 27 at about 9.30 pm, during vehicle checking at Ratacherra (EJH), Police arrested one Bangladesh national viz., Md. Morjur Ahmed (21) from one Tata Sumo (AS-11AC-1983). The arrested foreign national entered into India without valid documents.\

Accident

On March 27 around 12:30 pm, one truck (AS-25A-3178) fatally knocked down Sanjeeta Boro (16/M) at 9th Mile, Baridua (RB). Driver of the truck fled away after the incident.

On March 17 at about 2:30 pm, an accident took place between one truck (ML-06-5534) and one motorcycle (ML-07-4123) at Nonglyngdoh village, Nongstoin-Maweit Road (WKH). As a result, one person, Enorilda Dkhar died on the spot.

Body recovered

On March 27, one unidentified decomposed body was recovered from Bangarghat (SWKH). Spot PM and other formalities were observed.

Thief apprehended

On March 27 at about 11:30 am, one Nikhil N. Marak (18) was caught red-handed while stealing one cell phone from the shop of Chandan Kumar at Williamnagar Bazar (EGH) and later he was handed over to Williamnagar PS.

Threat case

On March 23 around 11:30 pm, one Ibanla Dkhar (24) threatened his family members and neighbors with dire consequences at Nongkyna village under Nongstoin PS (WKH).
