SHILLONG: The Modi Fan Club, Meghalaya State held an Executive Committee meeting on Saturday.
“During the meeting, they could not arrive to any decision whether to support any candidate since there is opposition from few of the members to maintain non-political identity. We have decided to convene a general body meeting to take a final call on the matter,” club general secretary (organisation) Romeo Phira Rani said in a statement. The BJP has fielded Shibun Lyngdoh as the party candidate to contest Shillong seat.
