SHILLONG: Laban SC and Helping Hands won their respective matches in the SCA Second Division Cricket League at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Tuesday.
Laban were pushed to the wire, beating Sales XI off the very last ball.
Choosing to bat first, Sales XI put up an impressive 177/4 in the allotted 20 overs, with Bappon scoring 85 off just 57 balls. Manish took 1-23 in four overs.
In reply, Laban lost seven wickets on the way to making 179 in 20 overs.
Mark A Laloo scored 27, while Mithul took 2-22 in four overs.
Helping Hands had an easier time in the later game, beating Rangkynsai by eight wickets.
Rangkynsai won the toss and chose to bat, scoring 129/4 in 20 overs.
Manish scored 25 runs, while Sanjeev claimed 2-15 in four overs.
In reply, Helping Hands reached the target for the loss of just two wickets thanks to the unbeaten 77 off 57 balls by Sanjay.
Rommel took 1-28 in four overs for Rangkynsai.
