SHILLONG: A helicopter played truant with Meghalaya Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma on Thursday, causing him to miss an appointment with AICC general secretary in charge Meghalaya Luzinho Faleiro as well as six public rallies.

According to sources, the Chief Minister waited from 1 pm to 5.30 pm for the chopper but it never came.
He could not address scheduled election rallies at Dobu, Damas, Daram, Rabhagre, Rongchek and Akong either due to non-arrival of the chopper.
