Debate
Laban Bengalee HS school hosted the 11th inter- school and college debate competition on Friday. The motion was: “Coalition Government is hindrance to effective and progressive governance”. Lahun Shisha Kharkongor from Loreto Convent was the winner while Parvez Ali from Laban Bengalee Boy’s HS School was the runner-up.
School rally
The Meghalaya State Vector Borne Disease Control Society will organise a school rally on April 7 from State Central Library to Police Bazar on the occasion of World Health Day.
Blood donation
A blood donation camp was recently organised by the Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Shillong, at Sri Rajasthan Vishram Bhawan in collaboration with Pasteur Institute. 44 volunteers donated blood on the occasion.
Objection
Shillong Radha Raman Sevak Sangha (SRRSS) has strong objected to the Basanti Puja being organised by a few individuals at BSNL Compound, Oakland under the banner of SRRSS without obtaining necessary permission and has asked the organizers not to observe the said Puja under the banner of SRRSS.
