SHILLONG: Trouble is beckoning those responsible for the Education scam in the State with the BJP indicating that once the NDA comes to power at the Centre its first priority would be to fix responsibility on ‘perpetrators of the crime’.
The State Government had terminated the services of as many as 246 teachers following the scam whereas action against former Education Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh and other Education officials, under whose tenure the alleged manipulations took place, is yet to be initiated by the Government.

State BJP president KS Lyngdoh, and party general secretary Dipayan Chakraborty, in a statement issued to the media on Sunday, said that the party has taken strong exception on the Education scam in Meghalaya affecting the career of thousands of school children across the State.
“This would be the first issue which the BJP would take up once the NDA forms the government,” the state BJP leaders said.
