U-12 West Jaintia Hills football concludes

SHILLONG: Amlarem and Laskein Blocks won the boys’ and girls’, respectively, U-12 Chief Minister Football Cup (district level) for West Jaintia Hills at Ummulong Playground on April 4.
The tournament was contested by the winners of the three block-level tournaments in Laskein, Amlarem and Thadlaskein.
The two winning teams will represent the district at the state level.
Amlarem SC lifted the boys’ trophy by beating Church of God Sec School, Ummulong, Thadlaskein, 1-0. Theiwan Talang was listed as the goal-scorer.
Lumpdang SSA, U/P School, Mootyrshiah, Laskein Block, won the girls’ competition 4-0 over Church of God Sec School, Ummulong. Etimon Shadap was listed as the goal-scorer.
