SHILLONG: The Executive Committee of Mawlai Sports Club, which met recently on April 1, held a review exercise on the ongoing process of laying astroturf at the club’s ground at Mawlai Madan Heh.
The meeting was attended by members of the Advisory Board, comprising the Headman of Mawlai, ex-functionaries of the club, players and members of the Technical Expert Committee, according to a press release received on Thursday from MM Nongsiej, the Mawlai SC general secretary.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment to actively inspect the progress of the work and ensure its qualitative implementation.
The Executive Committee expressed its appreciation for the concern that the people of Mawlai have shown towards the need and desire for a quality football pitch.
Any concerns can be made known to the caretaker of the ground, ie Mawlai SC, with due information to the Headman of Phudmuri, where the ground is located, so that any matter or issue may be suitably addressed.
