SHILLONG: A case of drunkenness by a polling officer during poll duty was reported from West Garo Hills as per a delayed report.

One Sainfield Ch Sangma, Presiding Officer of 52/11 Rongchadenggre ME School in West Garo Hills for the Lok Sabha election lodged a complaint at Tura that on April 8 around 10 am, one Emosh A. Sangma, first Polling Officer of 52/10 Rongchadenggre ME School, who was in an inebriated condition, created trouble in the Polling Station and also threatened the 2nd Polling Officer Adam W. Momin.
