SHILLONG: The 239th Anniversary of Army Ordnance Corps was celebrated at HQ 101 Area on Tuesday.
Lt Gen R S Panwar, GOC 101 Area was the Chief Guest and all Officers of Shilling Garrison participated in the celebrations.
The GOC interacted with the AOC personnel and lauded their efforts in maintaining sound Ordnance support to the North East Warriors during 1971 operations, other hostilities and Counter Insurgency Operations.
He conveyed his greetings and best wishes to all AOC personnel for rendering an excellent logistic support to operationally committed troops and wished them good luck in future times to come. The AOC personnel who include Military and Civilian employees are involved in providing close ordnance support in terms of stores, clothing, arms and ammunition to the North East Warriors.
