Farukkhaad/Mainpuri: BSP supremo Mayawati on Saturday alleged that BJP was “conspiring” to create division among her support base of Muslims and Dalits, and urged the Muslims to vote unitedly in favour of her party to keep communal forces at bay.

Addressing an election rally at Kuraoli in Mainpuri, Mayawati said the BJP was “conspiring” to weaken her support base of Muslims and Dalits to prevent a Dalit’s daughter from becoming the Prime Minister. She said that compared to other parties BSP has given maximum number of tickets to Muslims and Brahmins.

She alleged that Yadavs were no more backwards but they were “snatching the reservation benefits” of other most backward classes. She promised that BSP would ensure reservation in services to the poor people of upper caste to uplift their economic conditions. Earlier while addressing a rally in Farukkhabad, Mayawati said Muslims “should not get confused” and vote unitedly in favour of her party to keep communal forces at bay. (PTI)
