SHILLONG: TUR (Thma U rangli juki) has invited all concerned citizens to a meeting on Urban Development, Townships and Displacement on April 21 at 1pm at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah.
The meeting will discuss the ramifications of forced town expansions based on land grabbing as opposed to organic natural growth of towns guided by essential construction and building bye laws.
Ramesh of Ekta parishad will also be present to share analysis and experiences on township projects from across the country.
