New Delhi: Congress MPs from Meghalaya — Vincent H Pala and Wansuk Syiem — on Saturday arrived in Punjab to campaign for the party candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The AICC has deployed the Hill state MPs since both Anandpur Saheb and Ludhiana constituencies have a significant Christian population.

Top AICC leader Ambika Soni, who was once AICC general secretary in-charge of Meghalaya, is in a multi-cornered contest from Anandpur Saheb.

Neighbouring Ludhiana will also see a multi-cornered contest.
