Two more drown

SHILLONG: Two more drowning cases were reported in East Khasi Hills after the recent case at Umiam.

On April 20 at around 2 pm, Dasumarlang Thabah (36) drowned while he was swimming in a pond at Langsymphut under Mawsynram police station in East Khasi Hills.

The body was sent to Civil Hospital Shillong.

Again on the same day, one Ramanan (52) drowned while cleaning the Mawphlang Dam at Mawphlang. It is suspected that he died due to shortage of oxygen in his diving gear.

On Saturday evening one Algious Thabah (35) of Mawiongrim, Shillong drowned after he along with his three sons was fishing on a boat at Umiam Lake.
