SHILLONG: The Shillong Lajong junior team will need to redeem themselves when they take on AIFF Navi Mumbai Academy in their fourth match of the final round of the U-19 I-League in Jamshedpur on Sunday.
The contest will be held bright and early at 8:00am, according to the official I-League website..
Lajong lost two of their opening three games and have just three points, which leaves them in fifth position.
Sunday’s fixture will see the junior Reds take on a team that has experienced a contrasting start to the final round.
The AIFF Academy have won two and lost one, putting them in third spot with six points.
With just one more match to go after Sunday, there is little wiggle room for the SLFC boys.
In other matches on the same day, fourth-placed East Bengal (4 points) will take on bottom club Hindustan FC (0).
Tata Football Academy, who are currently leading the standings with seven points, will also be in action, with a game against Sesa Football Academy, who are in second position on six.
