SHILLONG: The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Balram Joshi, on Tuesday rejected a bail petition filed by controversial CMJ University chancellor Chandra Mohan Jha.
Joshi also asked the Investigating Officer to submit the case report to the Court on May 14.
Earlier, the Court had rejected Jha’s appeal to reduce the duration of the police custody from ten days to five days. Jha had filed his appeal in the Court on April 28 four days after the Court had remanded him in police custody for ten days.
