SHILLONG: The opposition United Democratic Party (UDP) has convened a meeting of all the political parties in the State on May 8 to deliberate on the ongoing power crisis in Meghalaya.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, UDP secretary in charge Michael War said a more concerted effort by the political parties will go a long way in ensuring that the present situation does not recur in future.
“The attitude with which the Chief Minister has relegated our efforts to that of political posturing is highly obnoxious,” the statement added.
