Tura 2 among 11 in China for table tennis training

TURA: Two youngsters from Tura – Chesan Ch Marak and Netra Dechiga S Sangma – are currently undergoing training in table tennis at the Hebei Zhengding International Training Centre in China.

The two 12-year-olds are among a 13-member team made up from around the country.

These two promising players were both ranked number one in Meghalaya last year in the cadet category and have represented the state on several occasions at national and inter-state tournaments.

Chesan is a Class 8 student in Don Bosco Seconday School here, while Netra attends Tura Public School and is also in Class 8.
