SHILLONG: The Inter School Athletics Meet, organised by the West Jaintia Hills District Sports Officer, began at the Ummulong Stadium, Thadlaskein, on Wednesday.
Twenty schools and 687 students are taking part in the meet.
In the 800m girls above-16 category, Priskila Ngaite of Police Public School won the gold medal, followed by second-placed Sandipa Nongbah (Little Flower HS School) and Nidasyndong Kyndait (Sein Raij HS School) in third.
