TURA: A day after 5 youngsters were caught and let off on bail for devil worship in Tura, some unidentified persons abducted a six-year-old girl ‘for human sacrifice’ at Williamnagar in East Garo Hills.

The incident came to light only after the abducted girl was released by her captors.

According to her, she was returning from school when the kidnapers waylaid her and took her to a graveyard. The victim was then kept confined in the same graveyard and fed regularly. According to the young girl, she saw a few other boys join the kidnappers and they began to pray drawing insignias into the ground to call on the devil.

Though the incident happened on Friday evening, an FIR was filed only on Monday only.

Confirming the incident, the police Girl escapes…

(Contd from P-1) chief of East Garo Hills Davies Marak said an investigation was on.

“The girl has given us sketchy details due to her tender age. We are collating a few photographs for her to try and identify, but otherwise it is going to be a very difficult case to solve. Prima facie, it looks like the intent was to sacrifice”, said Marak.
