Nagaland Sangtam community gets their first book in their dialect

Kohima: The Sangtam Naga community of Nagaland got their first book in their own dialect with a titled ‘Traditional culture of the Sangtam-Naga.’

To a communique on Monday, the book was released by the Nagaland NCP President and MLA Imtilemba Sangtam on Saturday and dedicated by Reverend C Thridong during Sangtam Literature Board (SLB) 34th General Session at Dimapur. The book is Authored by the Language Officer at the Nagaland Directorate of School Education, Kohima, with an objective to preserve the rich traditional culture and published in collaboration with North East Zone Cultural Center (NEZCC), Dimapur and SLB.

During the launch, Mr Imtilemba congratulated the author of the book and SLB for publishing the book in time and further encouraged people to develop more books to enrich our literature, the release said. (UNI)
