SHILLONG: A cyclonic storm hit several villages in North Garo Hills on Tuesday as strong winds uprooted many trees and destroyed several houses in the area.
North Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner W Khyllep said details of the devastation caused by the storm would only be ascertained after taking stock of the situation on Wednesday morning.
