SHILLONG: The X-Ray machine of the Shillong Civil Hospital is not functioning since May 9 and this has caused tremendous hardship especially to poor patients who are dependent on the hospital for their medical needs.

Some patients who went to the Civil Hospital on Wednesday were asked to do X-ray from outside which would cost them a lot.

Superintendent of Shillong Civil Hospital Dr M Borthakur stated that the X-Ray machine stopped functioning since May 9 after it suffered a technical snag.

It is a Philips company machine and now the hospital authorities are waiting for the servicing people to come and rectify the fault in the machine
