SHILLONG: Though the BJP has fared well in the recent Lok Sabha election in the State, none from the State’s BJP unit have been invited to the swearing-in ceremony of prime minister-elect Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday.

“We have so far not received anything,” BJP general secretary Dipayan Chakraborty said.

Not inviting BJP Meghalaya unit in the swearing-in ceremony may have hurt many from the BJP especially when Modi has invited top bureaucrats and political leaders from the SAARC countries.
