SHILLONG: To gather support for their demand for a separate Garoland, the Garo Hills State Movement Committee organized a public rally at Selsella.
Hundreds of people including church leaders, Nokmas and NGOs from that area participated in the rally.
GHSMC general secretary Augustine R. Marak urged the people to show their support for the cause of Garoland. “Garos have the constitutional right to realize Statehood like other tribes of the country,” he said.
