Balentine Lyngdoh,  a resident of Nongpoh  has passed the  examination of the national referee of taekwondo  federation   of India (TFI) from JN Stadium, Guwahati which was held in September last year with a rank of Class P. He is a 2nd dan black belt from Kukkiwan South Korea and also a district coach of North Garo Hills District Taekwondo.
