Massive turnout for Bagan trials

NEW DELHI: Footballers turned up in hordes at the Mohun Bagan Club Ground in Kolkata from May 23 for trials for the induction of U-16 players to the SAIL Academy of the club in Durgapur.
The trials finished successfully on May 31, the Mohun Bagan informed.
The sessions were overseen each day by the Club Technical Committee (comprising Sibaji Banerjee, Compton Dutta and Satyajit Chatterjee) and all the Youth Development Coaches led by Jahar Das, Head of Youth Development.
About 750 youngsters from Kolkata, its suburbs, other districts and various parts of India were put to the test with the aim of selecting the very best 25 talents.
Boys from Kashmir as well as from Kerala, Mumbai and Meghalaya also came over for the trials.
Bagan also informed that trials for other age groups will be organised in the future. (Agencies)
