Income tax

A woman, Clareen Mary Majaw, lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri police station that she received a letter from Income Tax Department, Complaint Management Cell, New Delhi, stating that she had deposited a large amount of money in her SBI account during the year 2010 and 2011. However, she had no knowledge of the deposits.

Patient flees hospital

On June 3 at around 6.30 pm, one unidentified person (30/35 yrs) was found lying unconscious near Fire Brigade, Shillong. He was removed to Bethany Hospital, Shillong and later was referred to Shillong Civil Hospital. On June 4 morning, he fled from the hospital.

Juvenile held

On June 3, police arrested one juvenile (17) from Lumkshaid, Lower Mawprem, Shillong for circulating explicit video clips of two minors to the public.

Puja utensils stolen

On June 3 night, one Lumlang Lyngdoh (22) stole Puja utensils and some documents from the residence of Saraswati Subedi at Mawbah, Shillong. On June 4 police arrested the accused person and recovered the stolen properties from his possession.

Theft cases

On June 2, police arrested two persons Sengsam Sangma (18) and Nagred K Sangma (18) in connection with a theft case under Bajengdoba PS (WGH).

G.S. Godki lodged a complaint at Khliehriat police station that on June 1 at around 3.30 pm, one Wansoki Ryngkhlem stole steel plates and scraps from the campus of M/s Topcem Cement Ltd. (EJH).

Threat

Arlene N Sangma of Ringrey Gittim Tura (WGH) lodged a complaint at Tikrikilla police station that on May 16 at around 12.30 pm, she received an SMS from unknown persons who threatened her to hand over her land to Pinet Marak and Kerson Marak, both of Renchigre village.

Fraud

One Santosh Devnath lodged a complaint at Nangalbibra police station that in November 2013, Md. Safiour Rahman hired two trucks (ML-09A-2251 & ML-09-2771) from him for Rs. 60,000 per month, but failed to make payments as agreed. On February 22, 2014, Md. Safiour Rahman and his associates assaulted the drivers of his two trucks at Rongsa Awe, (SGH) and took away the trucks to unknown destination. On May 14, the accused asked the complainant to meet him at Tura (WGH). When the complainant met him at Tura, Md. Safiour Rahman along with his associates forced him to sign a sale deed of the trucks but the complainant refused.
