TURA: The Forest Home Guard personnel under Tura Division have claimed that they have not received their salaries since February last.

A total of 225 employees are facing innumerable difficulties due to the non-payment of salaries even as appointments with several ministers and top officials including the Divisional Forest Officer and the Conservator Forest Officer under Tura Division allegedly came to naught.

With no other alternative in sight the employees will now hold a meeting at the Tura Division Office on June 10 to once again appeal for the release of their salaries.

If their demands are not met, the employees will boycott their residential quarters. The employees have also threatened to go for a sit-in demonstration along with their families in front of the Division Office, Conservator of Forest and the Home Guard Office until their salaries are released.
