Alleged espionage
On June 7, Air Force personnel of GES Site, Site-III, apprehended one Shakur Ali (21) and recovered one mobile phone from his possession which had images of the Air Force Site photographed by him. Later, he was handed over to Madanrting PS.
lOn June 6 at around 1 pm, Chief Technical Officer, Air Force Station, Laitkor (EKH), apprehended one Noor Zaman (29 yrs) of Phulbari (WGH) for taking photograph of the GES Site, Site-I, Air Force Station Laitkor (EKH) with his mobile phone.
Fraud
Bina Lata Gurung of Jhalupara Cantonment, Shillong lodged a complaint that on June 7 at around 6.45 am, she received an SMS informing her that Rs. 40,000 has been withdrawn from her account at ATM Booth, Military Hospital, Shillong.
Theft
Salyabaih Baidya and Raj Kumar Sharma lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on June 6 at around 1.30 pm, they apprehended one Sundeep Dutta (29) for stealing goods from their shops at MTC Building and AC Lane Police Bazar, Shillong respectively.
lChehel Sharma lodged a complaint that on June 6 at around 2.45 pm, unknown miscreants stole his mobile phone at Police Bazar, Shillong.
lSurendro Sharma lodged a complaint that on the morning of June 5, unknown miscreants stole one mobile phone from his shop at Police Bazar, Shillong.
lOn June 5, police arrested Chosrang Ch Marak (18 yrs) and Bomen Ch Marak in connection with theft case under Bajengdoba PS.
lOn June 4 at around 3.15 am, unknown miscreants robbed Rs. 8,000 from the house of Donita Basan at GAD Quarters No. G-19(C), Lumsohphoh, Nongthymmai, Shillong and also attempted to outrage her modesty.
lOn the night of June 4, unknown miscreants stole one Maruti Wagon-R belonging to Kapil Barman from Hawakhana, Tura (WGH).
lOn June 4 at around 1 am, unknown miscreants stole cash Rs. 10,000 from the house of Dahun Laloo at Lumsohphoh, Nongthymmai, Shillong.
Assault
Justin Sangriang lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that on June 3 at about 6 pm, two persons, Rikon Sohshang and Mumborlin Sohshang assaulted his son Vincent Syiemlieh at Rambrai market (WKH) and attempted to strangulate him and also threatened him with dire consequences.
