SHILLONG: After the Ex- Speaker ED Marak made serious allegation against the State Senior State BJP president, Khlur Singh Lyngdoh and general secretary Dipayan Chakraborty for several lapses committed by the duo, the BJP has clarified that the State President had reshuffled the State BJP in May and Marak was dropped from the post of State Vice President.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, the BJP Media and Publicity Cell Convener Subhasish Choudhury said that it was due to the reshuffle that Marak has brought such allegations against the State President and senior functionary‘s of the Party.
Stating that the Congress is trying to divide BJP, the statement said that the State President has referred the entire media report to the State Disciplinary Committee and committee was of the view that Marak has brought not only allegations against senior functionaries of the Party but also tried to tarnish the image of the party leaders.
