SHILLONG: Important questions like inadequate supply of medicine in the state, huge expenditure of over Rs 87 lakh incurred for Indian Panorama Film festival, traffic policing, the pending project for restoration of Umiam lake and rise in accident cases due to drunken driving have lapsed in the absence of the questioner Paul Lyngdoh(UDP) in the Assembly on Monday.

When contacted the Leader of Opposition Donkupar Roy said that he came to know that Paul Lyngdoh was not well.

“There is a provision that the questioner can authorize any legislator to raise the questions on his behalf, but Paul did not authorize anyone”, Roy said.
