Felicitation
The All Meghalaya Assamese Association will felicitate meritorious students from the Assamese community who secured 80 per cent and above marks in the last HSLC and HSSLC examinations and senior citizens above 80 years of age at a function on June 29, 2014. Saint in city
A 119-year-old saint Sivananda Baba, who is believed to be the world’s oldest man alive, is on a visit to Shillong and currently residing at the residence of Dutta brothers, Rynjah.
Eye camp
Sankardev College, Shillong, in collaboration with Bansara Eye Clinic organised a free eye camp on the college campus on June 9. Students and staff of Sankardev Vidyapath LP School, Sishu Mandir School, New Fairy Land Nursery School and Dainty Buds Nursery School attended the eye camp.
