SHILLONG: Mawlai legislator Embhahlang Syiemlieh on Monday, questioned the non-implementation of the IAY Schemes, by the government, in the whole of Mawlai constituency.
“I would like to know the reasons why the IAY scheme was not implemented in Mawtawar and Umthlong Greater Shillong Circle,” Syiemlieh said during the Question Hour in the Assembly. While admitting that the scheme was not implemented in the whole constituency since the period of 2010-2011, Community and Rural Development Minister Prestone Tynsong said, “But with the approval of the Ministry of the Rural Development, the scheme would again be implemented in the whole constituency from the current financial year 2014-2015.”
