Four held, arms recovered

TURA: Four persons were arrested from two different locations of Garo Hills for allegedly supplying weapons to militant groups on Monday.

According to Tura police, two persons, namely Grikseng D Shira (19) of Rongchekgre and Eljing Sangma (24) of Karukol, were arrested from Chandmari locality of Tura for allegedly being a part of the group that used to supply arms to militants.

Based on their revelation, two other members of the group were nabbed by North Garo Hills police in Kharkutta. The two arrested members have been identified as Winnerson Marak (28) of Chibonga and Rexbiller R Marak (28) of Nangalbibra.

From their possession police recovered one 7.65 pistol along with 13 rounds of live ammunition.
