SHILLONG/NEWDELHI: The fate of the Meghalaya Governor KK Paul, who was appointed by the Congress led UPA on July 1, 2013, hangs in balance in the wake of the decision of the NDA government to start the process of removal of those appointed by the previous UPA regime.

Though there are reports of some Governors had already decided to put in papers, sources said that the Meghalaya Governor is yet to take any decision in this regard.

Paul, who has camping in Delhi for the last few days, met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday. He also had a meeting with President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday.

According to sources, both were courtesy calls.
