Anomalies in Mawsynram CHC

SHILLONG: The FKJGP Mawsynram Circle has clarified that the allegations made by the Synjuk Ki Rangbah Shnong (SKRS) which had appeared in the media is totally baseless.

“We are being targeted after we exposed the anomalies of the CHC Mawsynram through the RTI findings. We had also filed an FIR against CHC with the police,” FKJGP Mawsynram Circle president Banshai Marbaniang told newsmen here on Monday.

While claiming that they have got many more evidences to expose the lacunae in the CHC, Marbaniang said that they would expose these evidences at an appropriate time.

“We also condemn the Meghalaya Medical Service Association (MMSA) for trying to protect the evil deeds of the doctors at Mawsynram CHC. This badly reflects the authenticity of the association,” FKJGP Mawsynram Circle president said.

While putting the blame on FKJGP, Marbaniang said also said that the MMSA has broke the rule of conduct according to service rule 1990.

He also said that the MMSA should be more concern for the well being of the people and that the power to remove any doctor lies with the government.

“I would like to urge the MMSA to find out the truth before drawing any conclusion,” FKJGP Mawsynram Circle president said. According to him, the NOC provided by the Dorbar to open private clinic is not justified.

It may be reminded that the Dorbar Shnong Mawsyram alleged that the FKJGP way of working was against the Dorbar and that the Dorbar Shnong has taken the decision to dissolve the FKJGP Mawsyram unit.

Meanwhile, Marbaniang added that whatever the FKJGP is doing is for the welfare of the people and that it will never back off and march forward with their good cause.

Later, Pangniang tabled the report of the election of the Syiem of Malaisohmat Syiemship whose election was held on June 13.

According to the report out of four candidates who contested the election on June 13, Paialast Iawrod secured the highest number of votes with 302 from the total 429 voters who participated in the process and was elected as the Syiem of the Hima.
