SHILLONG: Executive Member in charge Art and Culture, Teinwell Dkhar informed that the Executive Committee (EC) has denotified the Khasi Heritage Village Management Committee (KHVMC).
“As soon as we took over, we denotified all the committees appointed by the previous EC,” Dkhar informed during the Question Hour on the fourth day of the Council’s reassembled budget Session on Thursday.
He informed that the EC reconstituted the KHVMC on June 23.
Informing that majority of the members of the committee remained the same, he said, few new members were nominated in place of the former MDCs who failed to return to the House.
Replying to a supplementary question by Sohra MDC Donevan Wanlang, Dkhar said that the EC has not taken any decision on holding the Monolith Festival this year.
